Mechanically Removing Melaleuca Gallery

Of the various methods to mechanically remove melaleuca trees, chainsaws have the lowest impact on the environment. This machine--called a feller-buncher--grabs the trees, saws them off at the base, and holds them upright so that they can be stacked in piles. Stacking helps to control seedlings. This mowing attachment--manufactured by Denis Cimaf--makes short work of mulching a melaleuca tree.A similar attachment is the Brontosaurus. The cloud of dust around the mower is from melaleuca's flaky bark.Entire trees are mulched in seconds. The Barko chipper attaches to wheel loaders. It is an impressive machine, and very loud. Its a powerful piece of machinery, and you may need to wear eye protection if you're standing nearby.
